PPA One Tonner
The Wellington Lions are hard at work raising funds for our 2012 projects, and by inviting Lions to marshal at their events, the Pedal Power Association are indirectly contibuting to the work Lions do in their communities. We will keep you up to date with how we plan to spend these funds.
This weekend saw a number of Wellington Lions working as marshals and helping at watering points during the PPA One Tonner Cycle Race. The race started at the Nelson’s Creek Wine Estate outside Wellington and unofficial estimates put the number of entries this year at more than a thousand cyclists. It was a hot day in blazing Boland sunshine with no wind to speak of but everyone involved had whale of a time! Here are a few photos that were taken during the day:
